Giant thank you for taking my reader survey last week! Reviewing the results really helped me get some direction for this blog, as well as understanding what you are most interested in. I had more responses than I expected, and I really appreciate you taking the time to give me some feedback!

2016 Reader Survey Results

The blog topics you enjoy the most are about edible gardening, self-sufficiency, seasonal food, and ecological gardening.

The blog topics you enjoy the least were about apothecary and wellness and green living.

You learn best online by reading blog posts, but many of you also said combined with watching videos.

When asked how sustainable you felt your lifestyle was, the majority of you said that you live somewhat sustainable, but always looking for more ways to lower my environmental impact.

The majority of you said that you are an active gardener, and several of you said you need help.

When asked how your knowledge on homesteading and self-reliance skills where, the majority said that your proficient at a few traditional skills, but would like to learn more. There were also several who said you’re well versed in homesteading skills, which is great!

75% of my responses came from California.

The majority of you fell within the age bracket of 25-35, with 46-55 coming in second.

And just for fun, most of you would rather fold laundry, with sweeping being an almost tie. You people who enjoy doing dishes- you’re crazy!!!

Of course, I can’t please everyone all of the time, and some people’s favorite things were other’s least. However much I enjoy writing, there is no point if I don’t have readers! My goal is to focus on those topics that the majority of you find helpful, but I’m sure there will be the occasional posts that some of you might not relate to as much.

Thanks again for taking the survey, as well as all the positive encouragement you’ve sent me during this crazy life transition!

Didn’t get a chance to share your opinion on the survey? Feel free to leave me a comment on things you’d like to read or any other (constructive and kind, please) feedback you might have.
